Bookaboo series II picture books announced
News: The publicity campaign for the second series of Bookaboo will begin on the 1st November to coincide with the launch of the second series on ITV1. The show is aimed at children aged 3-6 with a core of ages 4-5, the aim of both the TV series and the campaign is to promote sharing reading with your children, with the main message ‘Share a Book Today.’
Bookaboo is a famous drumming dog in a rock band. In each episode a famous face goes back stage to share a story with Bookaboo on his Bookabus – ‘a story a day or he just can’t play!’ Bojo restored, this puppy can play and is cheered on by his celebrity guest.

Series 1 which formed the 2009 campaign will be repeated again on CITV during weekdays twice a day in the afternoon throughout Sep and Oct to build up expectation for the new series.
Series 2, featuring all the new titles, will be aired on CITV during weekdays twice a day from 1 November and, more importantly, on ITV1 on weekends during the morning CITV slot.
This is a much greater penetration of children’s TV audiences than last year and should lift the profile of this character brand to new levels.
In addition, the series has been sold to Australia. Series 2 will also be shown on ABC1&2 for kids during November.
