Sponsorship Opportunities

Attracting, delivering and liaising with headline or category sponsors is an important element of Agile Marketing.

We have proven time and again the real benefits of linking with publishing and reading in general. All our campaigns are generic and can be supported by every bookselling retailer – book chains, supermarkets, independent and online booksellers. In addition, we ensure that many of our 4000 libraries mount displays to complement the campaign and encourage all social media sites that promote books and reading to share campaign details with their members and followers.

That platform represents a fantastic opportunity for profile and exposure for any brand interested in reaching a high profile ABC1-dominated audience.

We have constructed campaigns for many sponsors and negotiated to obtain the best deal for them in terms of media platform and high street exposure.

In addition to headline and title campaign sponsorship, we also offer secondary category award sponsorship to any potential retailer or 3rd party corporate sponsor at a much lower level. Association to the awards, recipients & reading in general still provides excellent benefits.

Several of our existing campaigns remain unsponsored - see general information below. If you would like to receive more information and ideas on sponsorship opportunities for any of our campaigns please contact
Nikki@agile-ideas.com. To discuss new promotional opportunities that are not covered on this website, please don’t hesitate to contact alastair@agile-ideas.com for a full briefing.

The Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards (RoNAs)
The Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards, which celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2010, are administered by the 700+ membership of the Romantic Novelists' Association. The romantic fiction genre covers an enormous range of novels from side-splitting rom-coms to historical drama, from sassy contemporary heroines to Hollywood heart-throbs. This category boasts some of literature’s most famous names, from classic authors such as Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters to contemporary, internationally-acclaimed novelists such as Marian Keyes, Cecelia Ahern, Lauren Weisberger, Helen Fielding, Sophie Kinsella, Philippa Gregory and Stephenie Meyer.

Romantic fiction accounts for sales of over 30 million books annually in the UK alone – a third of the entire fiction market. Read almost exclusively by women, the main consumers of fiction, category readership is dominated by young women under the age of thirty.

The Romantic Novelists’ Association Awards (RoNAs) are a well-established annual event. The Awards ceremony is held in London each March and attracts high-profile media celebrities and review coverage. Winners are announced in each of five categories:

• The RoNA for a Contemporary Romantic Novel
• The RoNA for an Epic Romantic Novel
• The RoNA for a Historical Romantic Novel
• The RoNA for a Romantic Comedy Novel
• The RoNA for a Young Adult Romantic Novel

The overall winner of Romantic Novel of the Year is selected from these winners and announced at the Romantic Novelists’ Association annual summer party in May.

The announcement of shortlisted and category winning titles spans a three month period including both Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Promotion of the awards and their featured books is significant in 4000 UK retail outlets (including book chains, independent booksellers and supermarkets), in over 4000 UK libraries, and on all online booksellers and major social media sites for books and reading.
